What Calvin Ate...

Well for some reason last spring (or summer?), when he was well over 6 years old, and certainly knew better, my youngest child Calvin decided to swallow this smooth, magnetic marble. It was part of one of his toy sets. It took a full eight days for it to pass through his system and land in the toilet with a heavy and relieving kerr-plunk. It caused no adverse effects because it was small and smooth. I thought of it when I read about Jorge Garcia's recent ordeal when his puppy ate a staple. Thank the Lord his pup is OK - their situation was quite serious. Ohh, how our little ones worry us sometimes. Below is the picture of it, which I sterilized in bleach, and then put in a bag. It's tarnished now. Haha. The key and the penny are just for a size reference.
